Impressive Premium Punta Cana

This was our second time at Impressive PREMIUM Punta Cana. It is worth the slight increase in cost for the Premium section of the resort as the beach section has many more palapas for those who enjoy shade while on the beach... and rwo pools for Premium guests including a large Quiet Pool. The Premium lounge is a great option for breakfast, late lunch or quiet drink.

We booked a pool view room but was upgraded to a villa with ocean view (if you look to the left when on the veranda you can see the ocean...the sound of the waves was nice). The room and veranda are definitely smaller than the pool view room ... but the main issue was that our room faced out to the beach where they had a wedding reception one night and a party the next. The music was so loud one could not watch TV, read or relax during the festivities (that went until 2330h).We asked to move to e regular pool view room and what a wonderful improvement - much larger, with bigger veranda, improved bathroom ...

The first time we were there, our concierge booked all the a la carte restaurants ... this time we had to do this on an App. Difficult to get into the Grill - but we did for the last night at 2130h - but the hostess was able to get us in an hour earlier (thank you - best meal too).

There is not much to do (we are not into ATV in muddy river beds or ziplining) but for one week of sleep, reading and total relaxation which is what we were looking for) ... we really enjoy this resort.

We spent a week at Impressive Premium. This resort was absolutely stunning. The grounds were kept impeccably clean as well as our room (thanks to Rigoberto). The grounds are filled with lush vegetation. Beaches were incredible. Always found a place to sit. Entertainment was amazing. We had read in previous reviews there were issues with not enforcing access to Premium section. This was not our experience. Security was very diligent with access to this section. A la carte restaurants were very good. Buffet did not disappoint. Recommendation if you're happy with the service you receive, leave a tip. You will be even more satisfied with the service. I loved staying at Impressions Premium. The grounds were beautiful and immaculate. They take so much pride in making guests feel welcomed. The beach is stunning and maintained daily by hardworking staff. The pools are gorgeous and the resort is just large enough to have options of things to do without being overwhelming. The staff are amazing, they truly helped make our trip the best ever. [Details]

We had a fantastic trip. One of the highlights of the trip was our bachelor, Julia, Robert, who tended to any need or desire that we needed it or wanted, promptly!! She is definitely the reason I would go back again. Next trip is already booked!! The only complaint I have, and it's a big complaint, was the bartender at the pool bar, JUAN! He always served the big tippers first regardless of when they popped in. You could be first in line and somebody he knew gave him a big tip would get served first! He would tell you that you've had too much to drink after only two drinks. He like to show his control, or his so called control, and I told him exactly how I felt. I informed him that I would be filling out and making a definite big complaint against him, and he would be the only reason I wouldn't go back to the hotel. [Details]

Great hotel, very clean.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. Special mention to our butler Bayron, he was extremely helpful and took initiative, offered assitance before we asked, could not have asked for better service. He took care of our a la carte reservation, breakfast lunch and dinner, made sure my allergy to avocados was known to restaurant staff.

Check in/check out in the premium lounge was quick and efficient.

Buffets were good. We ate at the Italian, Mexican and grill and all 3 were good. Restaurant staff were all lovely.

Beach is nice, there weren't algues as they installed nets. There were some vendors but they were not pushy, a "no thanks" and they move on.

Grounds were beautiful, lots of vegetation.

Pools were clean.

Animation team was present and nice. They offered activities without being pushy. Always something happening in the main lobby at night after the show.

I have nothing negative to say about this hotel.
3 of us stayed in the pool facing junior suite and there was plenty of space.

We visited impressive premium with a party of 8 and were less then impressed. For starters, we were suppose to have butler service. We stepped onto the resort late after arriving on sunday, and literally didnt hear from our butler until FRIDAY. And that was after numerous attempts were made to get into contact with him from other butlers, and concierge. His excuse was "I'm sorry I was off yesterday". Again, this was on FRIDAY. And then he attempted to tell us that service asked for was not included and was an extra cost. Even though the couples we came with, got those exact services for free. On numerous occasions, we had to seek out the maids because after cleaning, they took the dirty towels but never left clean ones. At times we were also without toilet paper, and bottled water, which was to be stocked daily. We had the oceanfront jacuzzi suite, and the view was incredible. However, The water in the jacuzzi was always only luke warm, and you had to hold the drain plug open in order for it to drain properly. We were in building 24. 3rd floor. FYI there is no elevator in the building so we had to walk our suitcases up and down. On numerous occasions, our door key wouldn't work. We went to concierge on 2 separate days to inform staff, they did something to the key and said: "Key work now", again traveled to 3rd floor only to find out that the key in fact DID NOT work. Twice they had to have a maintenance tech have to come to the room to change out the door unit. The bars on resort close very early, leaving you in bed for an early night. The snack stand which remained open late to make pizza's was great if drunk. Sober it was like eating slices of cardboard. I will never return to this resort. [Details]

We had 3 couple that booked in May 2023 ocean front with jacuzzi when we got their only 1 room was available so 2 couples
Went to regular room were told room would be ready the following day 1 couple received I room not ocean front and no Jacuzzi 4 days latter the other couple finally got their room front seat was horrible just lied day after day [Details]

I will start by saying, the staff are the gem of the place.
Nice beach and pools.
Loved to walk the grounds.
We arrive with only great expectations based of the website. We opted to go for the premium stay based on website and the reviews. There were more good reviews then poor so that is what helped us to decide.
Room with pool view was lovely - did find the cleaning products highly scented and harsh - odour lingered for days even after airing room. Refused cleaning services after this.
Did not get butler but were told by 3 different staff we would be contacted. We asked for robe and slippers as not supplied in our premium room - again told they would be delivered but not. Were able to book 2 dinners at the restaurants with little effort. The 3rd dinner took a $5 tip just to be put on "wait list" and told to come back tomorrow at 9. Again famous last words of booking staff - "come back at 9" and wait again. When we went back next day we were told no availability - it took speaking firmly with manager to get anywhere.
Had to laugh at the Italian restaurant antipasto offering - unless you are fortunate to get early booking the selection is poor at best. Soggy warm cheese with flies walking over it, empty serving plates and stale bread.
Pushy extadian club staff - we felt overwhelmed by the constant bothering by them. Not a place I would return to nor recommend to friends and family. [Details]

This hotel is beautiful and the room we had was great. The beach was amazing also. The only negative thing that I can say is that there are too many pushy Time Share Sales Reps and also too many vendors selling souvenirs on the beach and also at the hotel. [Details]

Like it's Name - Impressive The grounds and the landscaping are truly magnificent. Beautiful looking hotel with good facilities. We stayed at the Impressive Premium with upgraded and huge rooms in very good order. They work hard on cleaning the beach from the persistent weed, with good jetty and comfortable beds. Food was plentiful and in quiet time was varied especially recommend the Italian seafront restaurant for lunch. [Details]

This was are second time enjoying this beautiful resort. Impressive did not let us down, clean, comfortable, well maintaned. Beautiful beach and lots of pool area, no need to fight for seating. The food is amazing from buffet to al' cart's... must try the japanese (out of this world good) very entertaining. Staff was very good and did all they could to make you comfortable. A very special shout out to Rigoberto the person that looked after our room cleaning, very attentive to details, keeping eveything looked after for us and a fantastic personality... made our stay very enjoyable. Le Premium n'est que de la poudre au yeux!!!!

Nous avons séjournée 12 jours à l'Impressive Premium.... comme cet hotel est dans la ville c'est le festival des Odeurs.... certain matin incapable de prendre un café au balcon ça sent le plastique brulé, odeurs sanitaire un peu partout sur le site, pas été chanceuse nous étions envahi par les fumeurs, il y en avait partout, les soirs nous n'étions pas capable de relaxer au balcon on en avait tout le tour de nous, mais je sais nous n'avons aucun contrôle sur la clientèle. La propreté dans les chambres laissait à désirer, 12 jours, 1 changement de drap... les verres lavé à l'eau pas de savon ( j'ai mis une photo) par contre le site à l'extérieur est propre. Le service est lent et long, tellement long qu'un matin, au restaurant déjeuner à la carte, après une heure d'attente, je n'ai jamais eu mon omelette, mon conjoint avait tout eu sauf moi, j'ai été manger au buffet pfff.. Le buffet est petit mais c'est bon et chaud, les fromages sont tous bon, (ce qui est rare dans le sud) Le système de gestion de cet hotel est bordélique, réserver un restaurant à la carte est très long et ça l'air bien compliqué pour eux. Les drinks en début de semaine étaient bon (ocupation de l'hotel 50-60%) Il y a eu un gros arrivage de vacanciers qui a rempli l'hotel..... à partir de là les drinks étaient pas buvable, il nous ont passé n'importe quoi, de l'alcool cheap, Un cosmopolitain fait avec du jus d'orange.... ce n'est pas la bonne recette mademoiselle.... Si Si m'a répondu celle-ci lolllll n'importe quoi Pffff.... et levez vous de bonne heure si vous voulez un Bloody Caesar, chanceux si vous en avez un, le Clamato il y en a eu seulement la semaine à 50% d'occupation. Le soir il n'y a qu'un seul bar qui fonctionne au Lobby donc armez vous de patience la file est longue. Avec le Premium même pas droit au lit balinais sur la plage, ils les loue pour 50$ US par jour ( Personne en prennaient) 12 jours à 50$US=774$ CA HAHAHA!!!!! une grosse blague. Pour la plage beaucoup d'algue certain jours, d'autre pas dutout, ils les ramasse. Le staff a l'air écoeuré de voir des touristes, même avec du pourboire le sourire n'y est pas vraiment, sauf Nathalie au bar de la plage Premium et Milkin au bar de la plage du Punta cana. Si vous désirez faire de belle excursion à bon prix faite confiance à Alexandre sur la plage, nous avons été satisfait.

Est-ce que j'y retournerais?? Non à cause des odeurs et de la mauvaise gestion des services offerts. C'est un 4* pas mal fillante sans plus. [Details]

Check in was a disaster. Food was sub-standard and bars were not completely stocked. Ran out of vodka one day and Canadian Club for most of the week. Japanese Restaurant very good, but other specialty restaurants not great. Repetitive food, not much variety. [Details]

This resort looks large the way its layed out but everything was a short walk to get to. The staff were friendly, rooms and amenities clean, food and drinks good, and nighly entertainment was good. What more do you really need? [Details]

We had a pretty great week - a bit of a surprise that Premium check in was in a totally different area- and we stood around not being told what was happening. There were minor glitches from start to finish as listed, but with so many people that come through- it is understandable and acceptable. It is not really a place to go if you are looking for young party for singles- and take note- the weekends are when the locals are allowed to join so it is much busier with a totally different vibe than through the week- that is my first experience with that- not good/ not bad- just different. Food was just fair. No hot coffee. No power one day- cold shower that day!
I feel like I could sweep in there and make things way more efficient with staff, food, etc- but it is the DR and that seems to be the way they operate- but I am surprised that it has not changed in the 30 yrs since I have been before. I could recommend this resort, but probably will not go there again myself- overall- a 7/10 [Details]

Beautiful resort, food was great, staff very friendly and always there to help, grounds and pools are amazing. Absolutely worth every cent. Our first trip South, and we were not disappointed. [Details]
